Las fracturas en el sistema de acogida del Estado Español dejan cada año a miles de inmigrantes indocumentados en la calle al cumplir la mayoría de edad. Emilia Lozano, una activista incansable por los derechos humanos y el movimiento feminista, en su lucha continua por la justicia social, redefine el concepto de familia para muchos de ellos, a través del amor, la empatía y la solidaridad.

The fractures in the reception system of the Spanish State leave thousands of undocumented immigrants on the streets every year when they reach the age of majority. Emilia Lozano, an unwavering activist for human rights and the feminist movement, in her ongoing struggle for social justice, redefines the concept of family for many of them through love, empathy, and solidarity.

Rafa Arroyo es un director y director de fotografía manchego que antes trabajaba como ingeniero de telecomunicaciones hasta que decidió cambiarlo por su pasión y su sueño, que es trabajar en el mundo del cine. Comenzó dirigiendo sus cortometrajes y trabajando en el mundo de la publicidad. Recientemente realizó su cortometraje documental «Trazos del alma» (2021), un tributo a la vida de su madre, que fue nominado en los Premios GOYA 2023. Ahora presenta su nuevo cortometraje «Emilia» (2024), un documental sobre el amor y la familia no elegida.

Rafa Arroyo is a director and cinematographer from La Mancha who previously used to work as a telecommunications engineer until he decided to quit it for his passion and dream, which is working in the world of cinema. He started by directing his short films and working in the advertising industry. Recently, he produced his documentary short film «Soul Lines» (2021), a tribute to his mother’s life, which was nominated at the 2023 GOYA Awards. Now he presents his new short film, «Emilia» (2024), a documentary about love and the unchosen family.
